The Berlin start-up "Myne-Homes" wants to make selected holiday homes more affordable. It brings peoe together who share property.
Just imagine: A holiday home at its finest. Maybe on the German Baltic Sea coast? Right on the bea, of course! Or maybe you prefer a ic apartment with a south-facing terrace as well as views and access to the bea in the north of Mallorca?
And now imagine: it could be yours. Not rented at cometely horrendous prices, whi skyrocket again during the holiday season, but bought - at least part of it. And the whole thing is sime and uncomicated, just as you like it.
That was the idea of Fabian Löhmer and Nikolaus Thomale, two Berliners by oice who founded the start-up “Myne-Homes” this spring. “Many peoe in their mid-thirties want their own holiday home, but can only afford it twenty years later, if at all. We want to ange that!” says Löhmer. “Myne-Homes wants to give more peoe the opportunity to fulfill their dream of owning their own holiday home – a holiday home that otherwise only the top ten thousand can afford.”
But because you need a lot of money for this, whi, as is well known, does not grow on trees, the start-up does not sell entire houses, but eighths, quarters, halfs - just as the customers want it. A real co-ownership share in a property is acquired. And by means of a so-called share deal. A property company is founded for ea property, in whi the co-owners participate. In the end, you are a registered shareholder of a company that owns this property. With at least 100,000 euros - half of whi must be equity - you are there.
Buy in person or online
Interested parties have been able to register on the Myne-Homes homepage since the beginning of June and have exposés sent to them. “We are making every effort to present the objects digitally in su a way that you can theoretically buy them entirely online,” exains Thomale. Personal visits on site are also possible and welcome.
Around 20 "high quality" holiday properties in holiday destinations in Germany and abroad are currently available for partial acquisition: from Rügen and Sylt to the Alps, Mallorca and Portugal, to Cape Town or Tulum. In addition, prospective buyers can also propose their own holiday properties. “Anyone who has already found their dream holiday property will find co-owners with us for the purase,” says Thomale.
