NAIROBI HOTELS

Nairobi Hilton
In the middle of central business district of the city of Nairobi stands the Nairobi Hilton with 329 guest rooms including 7 suites, all air conditioned with private bath, colour TV, mini bar, resident lounge, pizzeria, poolside barbecue, snack restaurant, grill room, swimming pool, sauna and shopping arcade. Nairobi Safari Club
Ten minutes walk from the city centre. It is an all suite hotel with 146 suites, all air conditioned with private bath, colour TV and mini arr. There is also a swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, health center and a la carte terrace bar/brasserie.

This is a five star hotel just 15 minutes from the centre of the city of Nairobi. Surrounded by 64 acres of sprawling grounds, the hotel combines the intrigue of African architecture and art resulting in a picturesque hotel in a league of its own. On the hotel grounds are 30 deluxe suites and 174 luxury rooms. Each room has a hand carved four poster bed, an individual balcony and satellite TV. Indian Ocean Lodge was built on a beautiful coral outcrop on the shores of Malindi/Watamu. The Lodge, more like a private house, was built only 15 years ago in traditional Arab style with correspondingly traditional materials and techniques. The effect is continued inside where whitewashed walls, sofas with lavish cushions, Arab furniture, Persian rugs, brass ornaments and Arab chest complete the historical coastal atmosphere.

THE DRIFTWOOD BEACH CLUB
This famous hotel which is only five minutes from Malindi Airport, is small, friendly and very social. In fact it is the Driftwood's unique informal ambience that has made it the popular family hotel it is today. Accommodation is provided in individual air-conditioned bandas or chalets all with en-suite bathrooms. Rooms are attractively sited in spacious grounds and are ideal for families. In their own secluded area, the Manda and Lamu cottages share their own private pool. Each cottage consists of a bar, verandah, and two large air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

KILIFI BAY BEACH RESORT
The resort is situated in Kilifi, an old coastal town halfway between Mombasa and Malindi. The property is set on 26,000 sq. metres of tropical gardens and 130 metres of sandy beach frontage on one of Kenya's most beautiful coastlines. There are no other hotels on this stretch of beach, allowing complete privacy. The hotel is 4-star and accommodation is in 49 rooms, set in 14 cottages, comprising of 9 Superior Rooms, with mini fridge, fan and/or air-conditioning and an extra (3rd) bed and fan in an adjacent room, 29 Standard double rooms, 6 matrimonial rooms, with 4 poster Lamu beds, 5 triple rooms, with Lamu double and single beds. All rooms are en-suite, including bidets, and have a terrace or balcony. The rooms are comfortably furnished in a local style, and have mosquito nets, ceiling fans. Some 20 rooms are air-conditioned.

BAHARI BEACH HOTEL
Facing the renowned Nyali Beach on Kenya's North Coast, overlooking the warm azure waters of the Indian Ocean, Bahari is set within lush and colourful gardens, where palms, tropical flowering shrubs and bougainvillea form a superb backdrop for the water garden and its soothing streams and fountains. The hotel's architecture was influenced by old Swahili villages and built in traditional style from coral blocks with makuti (palm frond) thatched roofs. The main buildings contain spacious restaurants, a comfortable lounge bar with satellite T.V., gift shop and gym. Each of the 100 bedrooms is ensuite, individually air conditioned and elegantly styled. Wide glass doors open up to spacious terraces or balconies.

Keekorok Lodge:
Masai Mara has been the greatest show on earth. A company of three millions animals migrating over a year, every year, for the past two millions years. Keekorok Lodge is Masai Mara's first lodge, and it has retained its charm, and hospitality throughout the years. At the southern end of 1,510 sq km Mara paradise, and right in the path of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra, lies Keekorok Lodge. There is always plenty of activity around the waterhole but during the migration, the lodge is enveloped by the swarming mass of animals. One need hardly venture from ground to game view. From the verandah, and from Kiboko, there is plenty to see. One unfortunate zebra met its end right in front of the dinning room, providing supper for a pride of hungry lions, and 'live' entertainment for enthralled guests at Keekorok.

Mara Hippo Safari Lodge
Located at the South Eastern end of the Mara Triangle the Mara Hippo Safari Lodge is a beautiful tented camp cum lodge that blends with the game ladened landscape of the Mara. Built on a former riverbed, the accommodation is made of 15 tents all ensuite under grass thatched roofs and five cottages; also ensuite. There is a swimming pool and satellite television is available for those who would wish to catch up with international events in the middle of the African savanna.
